Our Approach
Traveling Spoon connects travelers with local, vetted hosts to share the joy of a homemade meal in their home and learn about their cultural and culinary traditions passed down through generations. We were challenged to build an application that would help travelers book their experience in a very fluid process. For us, this meant special attention to processing transactions. Hosts and customers needed to see transactions in their own currency during the planning process, and it all needed to go through seamlessly.
Iconography
Every project we work on is 100% custom, including the icons. Creating icons with a clear purpose allows for greater consistency in a brand's guidelines. We love what we do and we think it shows. Here are just a few examples of our most recent work.
We had the great opportunity to design and build version one of their application. Shortly after we launched the beta, Traveling Spoon raised $870k from investors including the former CEO of Expedia Erik Blachford and San Francisco food icon Alice Waters.
